Setting up Tiscali email on a Windows Phone

The following steps will help you setup your email address on your Windows Phone. If you’re not sure what your email or password is you can find them in My Account.

If you've already set up your email account but it's not working, try deleting the account then adding it again. Simply tap Settings, then Email + accounts. Tap and hold your email account, then tap delete and delete again. Once you've deleted it, follow the steps below:

From the Start screen, swipe in from the right to your App list and tap Settings.

Select Email + accounts.

Select Email

Tap Add an account.


Select Add Account

Tap Other account.

Select Other

On this page you need to complete the following Sections:

  • Email - Your TalkTalk email address.
  • Password - Remember this is is case sensitive, if you’re not sure what your email or password is you can find them in My Account.

Tap Sign In.

Select Add Mail Account

Enter your email address as your name, then make sure your incoming mail server is set to

Complete Incoming email server

Scroll down and check your outgoing (SMTP) mail server is set to

Tap the boxes to select the following (you may need to tap the advanced settings button to see these options).

  • Outgoing server requires authentication.

  • The option for using the same username and password for sending email will be pre-ticked.

Tap the tick icon to confirm.

Your account is now set up, and will be shown on your email+ account screen.

To view your inbox, simply tap the mail icon on your home screen.
